After reading Melissa’s blog, I craving with the “Tao Yew Bak”, so, yesterday I made this dish for my dinner. Basri never try this dish before,
so, he was excited to try it out. Yesterday afternoon I starting to marinate the pork meat with the entire ingredient that recommended in Melissa’s blog, but, additional I have added the sesame oil also.
This is really simple dish to prepare, seriously, and it’s so delicious!!!! Basri love it a lot. YUMMY…YUMMY… ![]()

All you need for the marinate is dark soy sauce, light soy sauce, 1 teaspoon brown sugar, 1 small star anise, some white peppercorns and 1 small cinnamon stick. Sautee 3/4 garlic bulb with a little oil, add the pork marinate and stir fry till fragrant. Then, add water just enough to cover the pork. Add hard boiled eggs and leave to simmer on low fire for an hour.
Due to I don’t have the cinnamon stick and star anise, so, I follow Rachel’s suggestion, use the Chinese 5 spice powder, and add in some sesame oil
if you free, you should try this during the weekend.

heheh looks good…and u managed to fulfil ur hubby’s tummy
